Nature Therapy

A Mindful Journey to Rebalance, Reflect, and Find Peace

Decades of research affirm the benefits of mindful time in nature for physical, mental, and emotional health improvements. Through gentle mindfulness practices, sensory explorations, and reflective exercises, you’ll learn how to tap into the healing power of Nature in a more intentional, grounding way. Regular Nature Therapy sessions bolster long-term health outcomes  and strengthen your toolkit for bringing mindfulness and presence into your everyday life. Private sessions are offered for individuals or couples. Group clinic offered Wednesdays in June.

What to expect

Overview of Nature Therapy with Amanda Kenyon

  1. Intention. We work towards calming our busy minds and soothing body tension to allow an expanded awareness of our inner and outer worlds. We learn to slow down.
  2. Guided progression. We start with a relaxing, grounding, sensory-awakening meditation. We then explore mindfulness-based prompts ("invitations") that help focus attention and improve present moment awareness. Yogic stretching or breath work may be included.
  3. Sharing. While this is not talk therapy, we do pause periodically for you to share what you're noticing during the meditations and invitations.
  4. Interaction with the natural world. The slow pace and sensory focus allow you to engage in direct, hands-on exploration of your relationship to Nature.
  5. Customization. We'll work with your comfort zone, and your mobility level.
